What Are Some Different Methods of Creating Information Products for Sale?

The advent of the internet has allowed almost anyone with knowledge of a particular subject to create information products, relatively quickly and easily. Information products are not just about electronic books, although they are very popular and have made some people very wealthy indeed. You are really limited by only your imagination, but I will point out some ways to approach creating products that are unique and hence, have a greater appeal. I am aware that some people rehash the same old material and ultimately, that leaves a less than pleasant user experience. It is always best to create unique content products that have your own flavor or style for your clients.
Essentially, there are three main methods for product creation:
- eBooks, as I have already mentioned,
- audio products, in the form of physical CDs or downloadable mp3 files,
- and video products, either as DVDs or downloadable video.
I am not going to suggest that one product style is any better than the other, but rather suggest that you treat them as a series of product development processes. What do I mean by that? To best answer the question, consider that some people are more inclined to read, others are more auditory and still others again are visual in their learning style. Hence, when you create one type of product, consider reproducing it in a different format to cater to the widest possible market. I really feel that a lot of people are leaving money on the table, as the saying goes, because they are not fully exploiting the resources they have available. As an example, if you have created an audio recording, you might then transcribe the material, and create an ebook. In addition, you can create a video version, which in turn, will have a higher value and this earn you a greater slice of income.
To explain the best ways to go about creating a video, you can either use computer programs like Camtasia Studio from Techsmith, which is admittedly, a considerable expense, but a great tool. You can then use Power point to create videos if you are not particularly into creating traditional videos with you as the star!
Your options are limited by only your imagination, and time spent on producing great videos. However, I can assure you that videos are becoming the order of the day when it comes to marketing and consumers are devouring more and more video.
